Food and service was bomb
It was snowing outside and the walk in the snow was wonderful...when walking inside the coziness of the restaurant was great...then the waiters were GREAT! Their conversations and recommendations for drinks and food were also well received. So well received we went back for breakfast in the morning hoping to find the same waiters. Although we had new waiters, we found the same great conversation makers with new faces...and still GREAT FOOD!
Stack burger was tasty. So was the margarita!
The food was fabulous. They used fresh ingredients, steak was cooked to perfection and the recommended wine was complimentary. We had a wonderful experience. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Thank You for making my Mother’s Day dinner so special.

Enjoyed a filet mignon dinner. Steak lacked seasonings. Cooked to perfection, though. The vegetables offered were terrible. Soft, mushy n the first/last bite of broccoli had the taste of mold.. Gross! Th service was excellent..
This place has been a classic for some 40 years although I’ve only been an annual regular for a mere 15 years or so. Well prepared steaks are a mainstay, but they also have a fine choice of seafood and pastas. Today’s special was a salmon dish, for example. Extensive wine list. Off the beaten path, and much quieter than Heavenly Village, a great romantic opportunity. And, where else is a bread and cheese fondue just a part of the meal rather than just bread and butter? Upscale, but not too expensive for upscale. Go there!
For classic, old Tahoe ambiance, great food, prompt, courteous, cheerful, and attentive service.... this is the place!
