I have never been put under anesthesia for a medical procedure in my life so I am already very nervous. THEY made an in office appointment for me to see Dr. Bowser; 1 of his medical assistants calls me 30 mins. before the appointment to tell me it's a teleconference when I had already made plans to get the car from my husband for the day, (they told me to bring my referral to the office). My Cologuard test was positive, so I needed a colonoscopy. Dr. Bowser was polite gentleman and his staff was thorough and efficient. A colonoscopy is a mildly unpleasant experience, but I have zero complaints about Dr. Bowser or the care I received. .
My first appointment seemed to go well (despite him being an hour late), as he seemed thorough in getting to the bottom of my issues. He prescribed me a medication and said if my insurance denied it to reach out to him on the medstar portal and he would call in a different but equally as effective one. My insurance did deny the first one so I did as instructed and sent a message on the Medstar portal and never received a response. I sent a couple more and called his office several times. The level of care in the Union Memorial and Good Samaritan offices for Dr. Lester Bowser is an utter disappointment and waste of Healthcare monies. Chad should never be allowed to speak to patients for any reason. His advice was for me to be seen at patient first with a referral for a gastro specialist. Total waste of time
A telehealth visit where my intake took 10 minutes and my actual visit took 2 min…. Not to mention the upcoding when submitted to my insurance.
