A few years ago, I developed what turned out to be a serious skin infection and attempted to schedule an urgent appointment with Dr. Kelly. Despite explaining the severity of my condition, I was told she had no availability for several weeks. I am sharing my experience to provide factual information for patient safety. I was prescribed medication by Dr. Lisa Kelly and developed a serious reaction shortly afterward. A skin biopsy was performed, but I was sent home with only a topical cream and no clear follow-up. Despite multiple urgent calls and voicemails as my condition worsened, I did not receive a response until my primary care physician intervened. I felt discriminated against. She made every excuse through her office staff not to give me an appointment. She's never even met me. All she had was my name in the system and a brief of my history. What a terrible way to treat people. What a terrible feeling. I'm sure i'm not the only one.
I felt discriminated against. She made every excuse through her office staff not to give me an appointment. She's never even met me. All she had was my name in the system and a brief of my history. What a terrible way to treat people. What a terrible feeling. I'm sure i'm not the only one.
For the second time, I was turned away for being (no exaggeration) 5 minutes late. No flexibility for me to wait, or re-schedule, just, BYE! Second time, she's out. Can you imagine if a business operated this way?
