A favorite local stop since 1952, this bakery, less than a mile outside Waikiki, is famous for its malasadas. These pastries are a local favorite, similar to doughnuts only without the holes. They're best eaten hot, leaden when cold. Another specialty is pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). Danish pastries, cookies, breads and specialty wedding and birthday cakes are also available. This is take out only; there is no place to sit. Parking is available.

We ALWAYS stop at your place! A vacation in Hawaii without malasadas would be....well just not a normal vacation!!!

My sister and I had the opportunity to try the malasadas when we were there on vacation a few weeks ago. The first bite was just heavenly. We ate the whole box before the day was done. Needless to say we loved them. Can not wait to come back for more!
Love this place! Whether visiting the main store or the truck its always great! But I must say, I do like visiting the main store so I can buy other things besides just malasadas...all the baked goods are amazing and delicious!!! This will truly be in the top 10 things I will miss when we move away from Hawaii. Until then...I will continue to get "my fix". The only Con is: I wish Guava Malasadas were available year around!
Now I'm going to have to make a special trip over there to try it.
