A favorite local stop since 1952, this bakery, less than a mile outside Waikiki, is famous for its malasadas. These pastries are a local favorite, similar to doughnuts only without the holes. They're best eaten hot, leaden when cold. Another specialty is pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). Danish pastries, cookies, breads and specialty wedding and birthday cakes are also available. This is take out only; there is no place to sit. Parking is available.

AWSOME!!!!! The best pastry ever, especially the cream filled.
Leonards Malasadas are the best on the island! I love it when they have the hazelnut filled ones! Best when warm, but really good cold too!
Whenever I'm in Honolulu, it's always Rainbow Drive In and then Leonard's AT LEAST once, but more often, two or three times. Except for the long line and parking, I love this place.

Guava and macadamia nut flavors... that's all I need to say. I love this place and it is a must when you visit the island. You know this place is good when you see taxis pulling up to drop people off.
Malasadas are melt in your mouth delish ! I am afraid I may never enjoy a filled donut again....unless I can get back to Leonard's ! If you know where I can buy some in New England, please let me know !!

Saw Leonard's from watching Hawaii 5-0 and while driving around the island, passed by the bakery! Stopped there at 10pm and got Malasadas- drove back to our resort about 20 min away and they were still steaming hot! They were fabulous!!!! Can't wait to be back for more!!
Love this place!! Go there everytime i'm on the island !!!!!
