A favorite local stop since 1952, this bakery, less than a mile outside Waikiki, is famous for its malasadas. These pastries are a local favorite, similar to doughnuts only without the holes. They're best eaten hot, leaden when cold. Another specialty is pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). Danish pastries, cookies, breads and specialty wedding and birthday cakes are also available. This is take out only; there is no place to sit. Parking is available.

The smells at early morn are fabulous. A short wait for fresh and tasty Malasadas, a favorite for years.

Going to UH I lived off the Leonard's malasadas mobilebus, soooo Ono! Aloha Friday everyone!

Its always gonna be #1 no other place can make these,
The malasados were very good warm but not so good the next morning. Lesson learned eat them when warm.
We were visiting from Vancouver, Canada. Amazing malasadas! Came highly recommended and did not disappoint! My fave were the cinnamon, hubby's fave were the sweet and sour sugar ones
A must try when in Honolulu! We like the plain but Custard is also a good one. Be prepared for tight parking conditions and the possibility of a line. They move people pretty quickly though.
