After waiting 40 minutes for an 8:30am appt, my appt. with Dr. Benson lasted about all of 3 minutes. I was seen for pretty aggravated golf elbow and while he immediately proceeded to give me a steroid injection, he seemed disengaged and pretty disinterested compared to prior IBJI physicians I've seen for similar conditions, especially Dr. Skong who couldn't be more personable, informative, interested and patient in explaining the condition, treatment options, etc. Dr. Benson barely touched my arm or did any diagnostic exam. ... read more
I was not impressed with Dr Benson at all. He swooped into the room, barely made eye contact and rushed me through the visit. As I described my issue he spoke over me constantly with “yeah, yeah, uh huh” so often it felt as tho he was in a race to get out of the room as fast as possible. I had to stop speaking at one time to check if he was actually listening to me! I had a very bad experience. My son hurt his knee twice in one week. The second time we came to IBJI Dr Benson was annoyed we came back and said to go to the sports medicine doctor. He didn’t examine my some and ushered us out of the exam room in under 5 minutes. It was like we were bothering him, but the waiting room was empty.
