Best beef au jus sandwich and wickedly good coconut cream pie. We'll worth the trip.
Lemon Wolf has become our "have to eat there" place when we go up the North Shore! We plan our trip so we are there the days they are open(W-Su summer). I can't wait to have another piece of coconut cream pie!!

Great find. The outside of the place doesn't tell the whole story, don't sell it short. Clearly was a local favorite as much as a travelers destination. Local fish, Swedish meatballs, and hot open face gravy sandwiches! Yes, please! I had the fore-mentioned Swedish meatballs..made with MN wild rice and served with lingonberry jam. Nice, nice, nice. Kid was given the choice of candy bar for a "treat"... which he had to howl to be rewarded. We really enjoyed the experience.
The Lake Trout is my go-to favorite. Be sure to follow it up with a piece of Grammy Wolf's Coconut Cream Pie - SO GOOD!
We had lunch today at the Lemon Wolf Cafe. Delicious whitefish dinner. The Rocky Wolf Trail pie is to die for. Fantastic!! A great little restaurant(and I loved the cuckoo clock)
Excellent food and the pies are crazy good! It was the best fish we've ever had and that's saying a lot as I am not a fish fan. We will definitely be going back, I'm sure many many more times, as there are a lot of dishes to try yet and of course more pie.
My husband Chris and I had the most AMAZING meal we have ever eaten! The food, service, and decor were superb. I highly recommend this place to everyone! You will leave full and extremely satisfied. Candlelight dinner. This was another Fantastic Birthday weekend surprise! Great selection and prices.
Been waiting to come check out your menu. What better time than a birthday to take a road trip and have a good meal. The lake trout was excellent as well as the atmosphere. Chef Rick made my birthday special by giving me a dvd of his awesome pictures. Who doesn't like Lake Superior and the North Shore drive!!!!! Thanks Lemon Wolf for not disappointing me. I'll be back again.
