I have dined at the chef-owned Lemon Wolf Cafe more times than I can even recall....ever since it opened 15 years ago....but....still not as often as I would like since I live in Colorado and must wait for a Minnesota visit. The affable owners/operators of the Lemon Wolf are the culinary talented husband and wife team of Rick and Susan Scheradella. My wife loves the Seeedish Meatballs. My opinion is that the scallop linguini with wild rice is the best dish on the planet! Rick is very good at what he does & loves doing it, and it shows.
The menu was broad and extremely well executed. Until you have had a traditional Norwegian cocktail, you have not tried your metal. The rainbow trout was excellent and the Swedish Meatballs were great . The cheesecake was the best we have had in Minnesota.
Beautifully decorated, very clean. Salad was fresh, bread had great flavor, Swedish meatballs made with wild rice over smashed red potatoes- very good. The coconut cream pie- whoa! The only draw back- too much food. Despite very reasonable prices. Would definitely return. Oh, and the bathroom was adorable.

We had dinner last night with four of our friends. We were all very happy with the great service & food! We have eaten there several times and the food & service has always been fantastic! Three of us had the steak, two us had the fresh salmon and another the trout. The salads and the wild rice soup were great also. The deserts are all freshly made and are always very tasty. We go to Lemon Wolf Cafe every chance we get. Always excellent food and service! Love the atmosphere and the new furniture.
The ambience is warm and the food is amazing! If you're driving up the Northshore, don't pass this place by!
If we could, we would give Lemon Wolf, its staff and especially Chef Rick twenty- five stars here. It is super, hand cooked, baked, great food. He does fish so well you will be amazed and will keep returning for more and more. I know that as we keep coming back for more and more. Excellent, quaint, cozy, comfy, courteousness reigns along with the food extraordinaire!
