This man should have his license revoked. There is NO WAY anyone can consider him ethical when he would euthanize 2 healthy dogs over money issues. His excuse that the animals didnt have a safe or healthy place to live is ridiculous - especially considering all the animal rescue groups available. He isnt a veterinarian...just an animal murderer...No matter how you put it, this man and his office should be closed down and he never have access to anyones pets...or any animal. It is in cases like this you see a persons true colors. This "vet" had every chance to turn the dogs to a no-kill operation. The bill was also in the process of being payed off and he continued to take money after he killed them. He just did this to prove a point.Now let us show him our point.
None of the people involved in this practice should be allowed to have anything to do with animals. Not only would the public have willingly raised the funds to SAVE the dogs this clinic murdered, but this clinic TOOK MONEY from the public under false pretenses. They should be brought up on criminal charges. The people donating thought they were doing so in order to rescue the poor animals when the animals were already GONE. He refused to let the dogs go to the rescues who were stepping up to take them. He also took money from rescues for their bill before and after he murdered them. Dont let him get away with this.
Ive not been able to forget about these dogs and their fate. I was so ENRAGED at first...now I feel saddened. Dogs and cats are killed every year, I dont know the exact figure, but somewhere in the millions. So why are we all so upset about these two dogs? I think its knowing they had owners who wanted them and knowing they were in the "care" of someone you would think would CARE. Why would a kind doctor who loves animals do this? I dropped off my 2 dogs for the weekend and they treated my pups like they were their own. These people really care. And are very affordable.
I wish you all would understand that the dogs was left there for 2 months. the bill was over \$2,000.the owners could have atleast paid alittle money towards the bill. Dr. Griebel is a very understaning man and If the owners had attempted to pay some money he would have made some kind of payment plan . But since they didnt they put the dogs down in a HUMANE way, the dogs did NOT feel pain. And threatening them is not going to bring the dogs back its just going make things worse. I dont understand why he would kill two dogs for nonpayment of fees, they should have been turned over to a rescue or Animal Control. I feel fairly certain that a law has been broken here. This is pure spitefulness if the story is true and I for one am forwarding all of these emails and notices I get regarding it to the county and state authorities and demanding a review.
