LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a great place for the kids and extremely popular among the locals. The venue features a couple of lego rides, a 4D cinema with some excellent short films, a ninja training camp, a factory tour, a play zone, and an interactive workshop. One highlight is Miniland, a miniature model of the city of Detroit fashioned entirely from Legos. At the center is a snack counter that serves some delicious food and refreshing drinks. The facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff is very friendly. T... read more

Took my daughter on a Saturday evening. The lines for the rides were petty long. Definitely good idea to go during the week to avoid the crowds. The 4D movie was fun. Deffinitely a fun activity for the kids to keep them occupied for a handful of hours. I would say Legoland is best intended for kids 10 and younger. 11 and older may find this place boring. But all in all I was impressed and it was funner than I thought it would be. Parents can even ride the rides!
Business response:
Hi Stephanie! We're so happy to hear that you and your family had a fun time! You're right, LEGOLAND Discovery Center is best suited for families with children ages 3-10, however, many LEGO loving children who are a little older will still love the 4D Cinema, our rides, the Creative Workshop and some of our other Play Zones. We hope you're able to come back and see us again soon!
Business response:
Thank you, Danielle!
Business response:
Hi Brad, we're sorry to see that you had a poor time. Hopefully you can come back and give us another chance sometime soon!
It's fun but the place is not big enough.
Business response:
Thanks, Maxon!
A lot of fun things to do for kids. We spent 4 hours there and did most everything. Just missed the 4D movie. Every time we went to line up it was 20 minute wait which my grandson didn’t want to wait and stand not doing anything. We were first in line and had the place to ourselves. Get tickets online! Save a lot! Subway has free kids tickets too!
Business response:
Holy smokes that sounds like a mind-bopping day of fun! We're so glad you had a great time, Tina. Thank you for sharing your tips with our friends on Facebook!
Imagine Disneyland put into a Target store. It was so chaotic and unorganized. Kids laying and playing on the floor blocking lines. Couldn’t find enough pieces to build a car to race. The 4d movie would freeze and was very poor quality. Then they couldn’t pull up our group photo to purchase. If it wasn’t for Chase at the photo print booth this would be a one star, but he went through the pics one by one looking for my family. He saved our visit.
Business response:
Hi Dan, we're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your visit to its fullest, but thank you for letting us know that you appreciated Chase's help -- he's a great guy! Spring Break is definitely one of the busiest weeks of the year and we hope you're able to come back and see us again because we promise you'll have a different experience. Please consider visiting during a non-holiday weekday because you'll avoid most of the crowds and be able to enjoy our rides, the 4D LEGO Cinema and different play zones at your own pace.
I thought the whole reason we had to pick a time was so you got to enjoy the experience without thousands of people!! Guess not, way way way to busy. Waiting an hour or more just to get on the rides, you could barely walk anywhere. My children were very antsy and not happy with all the lines. Maybe try not to go on a Saturday. Really sucks we didn’t get to really enjoy it.
Business response:
Hi Victoria, we're sorry to hear that you didn't have a great time! We do have timed ticketing in efforts to control the number of people inside LEGOLAND Discovery Center, however, if families are having such a good time that they are staying longer than normal, this can lead to some overcrowding. Plus, Spring Break is one of the busiest times of year for us! If you're willing to come back and give us another chance, please consider visiting on a non-holiday weekday -- you'll have a much different experience!
I took my father, who I was pushing in a wheelchair, and my 5 year old. It was extremely overcrowded and coupled with rude inconsiderate people, it's definitely not "disability friendly" however my son seemed to like it. I don't know that I would pay to go back though because I was expecting more building opportunities for the kids, not rides, a movie theatre and a playscape...for first timers it was ok and we made the best of our day but I would highly suggest that the older kids be supervised because they were a bit crazy!... read more
Business response:
Hi Andrea! Thank you for visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center! We're sorry to hear that you didn't have the best experience. While we are fully ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible, during busy times like Spring Break, it can be hard to maneuver -- even without a wheelchair! We hope you're able to come back and build with us again soon. Please consider visiting again during a non-holiday week day. We promise you'll have a much different experience!
Business response:
Thank you, Cheryl!
