Awful service. One of their employees (Rebecca) wasted my time asking an unending battery of questions regarding my family's choices about my recently deceased brother's organ and tissue donation options. Then, at the end of the interview, she had the audacity to say that since my brother lived in the Soviet Union in the '80s through early '90s, they could not approve any donations because of a spurious claim about a mad cow disease scare. Why couldn't she have pointed this out from the start, and not waste my valuable time?... read more
I have not had any first hand experience with Legacy of Hope, but I am listed as an organ donor, as is my husband. Reading some of the negative reviews on here makes it clear that I have made the correct decision in taking the time to create a Living Will & Proxy (for both of us). The "other directions" portion of our living will clearly states what organs/tissue we are willing to donate upon our deaths. Leaving no room for any uncomfortable situations. It’s taken me over 6 months to fully grasp the passing of my son. Everything seemed to happen so fast. At the hospital after I had received the news they told me someone else needed to speak with me. A young lady named Sydney came in and checked on me, told me my son would have to have an autopsy. Gave me and my family so much patience and attention. She then shared she believes being honest to families in times like this was the best thing, and that she also had to speak with us about organ donation. She never pressured me.... read more
