I had Leaf Guard installed on my home in 2009. It is now 2022 and the aluminum gutters are eroding to the point water is weeping out the bottom of the gutters. I contacted Leaf Guard regarding the degradation of their product and was informed materials are not covered under their guarantee. All repairs are at the expense of the purchaser. When the system works it is wonderful. When it does not work, the purchaser is an island unto himself and must absorb all costs for repair. As a consumer you have choices. The entire presentation was presented with a sales transcript chalked full of leading questions designed to verbally confirm LeafGuard as the best alternative with all other options being faulty. From the outset, I made it clear that I had the 45 minutes the sales rep stated we needed, but that I am just in the research mode of collecting bids to review and that I was not done with that process with LeafGuard. ??? A COMPLETE SHAM!! BAD BUSINESS ETHICS. THEY CAME TO MY HOME, SPENT 2 HOURS MEASURING, EXPLAINING, SHOWING PRODUCT SAMPLES, AND THEN DIDN'T HONOR THEIR TV PROMOTIONS! WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! ????????

The salesmanship of this company is horrific. I informed the salesman 1hr and 15min into the demo that I had to be somewhere in 20min. After spending 1.5hrs listening to the demo, he asked me if anything aside from the price was keeping me from purchasing the product that day. I told him I would not be agreeing to purchase that day . He spoke some more & then asked the same question. Had gutters installed for a pretty *****, and all because of issues highlighted by the sales person, especially the water between the gutters and the house. Something LeafGuard would remedy. Well, 9 months later, still a problem, Also found out that homes with metal roofs don't need gutters. Something that of course the salesperson never mentioned in fleecing us. This is a very expensive system that says you don't have to get up on a ladder anymore. This is not true. Also my gutter has an awful leak after spending big money on the system my gutter is worse than when I started. I do not recommend Leaf Guard.

The salesman was ****** nice which should have been a red flag. He pointed out all of these "problems" with my house and gutters, and made them sound a lot worse than they are. I feel taken advantage of and definitely have a major case of buyers remorse. I am paying a huge amount of money for something I don't need. I also feel taken advantage of because they did not give me the three days notice to change my mind and "fit me in" for the installation after less than 48 hours. Should have been another red flag! I am the widow of a recently deceased veteran. I am also elderly and handicapped. The price paid was extraordinarily high compared to the industry standards, including from what I researched. The price was based on 204 running feet of gutter, with parts, and comes out to over $80 a foot - total cost over $16,000! Searches on the web identified gutter costs ranging from $11 to $37 per foot, plus parts. From all information I gleamed from the Internet, this project should have been around $7k at the most. Purchased years ago and seem to work satisfactory. Overtime build up of fine debris he as built-up with minor clogging. No good method to get access to clean the clogging. Also lifetime guarantee is useless if company that sale them in your area keep changing every few years no one wants to service them. Only interested in sales.
