Food exceeded expectations. Pork ribeye was exceptional, as was the chicken marsala. The tomato basil fettuccine was excellent — it’s rare to get such a flavorful red sauce for vegetarians. Karen was a fabulous waitress, full of recommendations both for menu items and continuing our road trip. We got to make a quick tour of the historic hotel after we ate. Will definitely stop by next time we pass through Mason City.
Been here multiple times over 6 months and it's been wonderful Drink and food are wonderful, service is great. Plus it's a beautiful space. I don't understand the 1 or 2 star reviews! Strongly disagree. And I just moved here from a city of serious dining, and this holds up. Pricing is very reasonable.
If I could leave no stars I would. I’m sorry. Me and my husband were in town to see the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright building and Meredith Wilson museum. Both were great! The hotel was beautiful! We saw they had a restaurant and were intrigued. What a let down. We were greeted by a lovely waitress, although! The food was disgusting to say the least. We both had bugs in our salads to start. Very friendly staff, great food, great cocktails in a beautiful environment.
Just Wow! My husband and I ate Valentines Day dinner at this amazing, small town gem. The food surpassed our expectations! I had the salmon and my husband had the ribeye, which he said was the best ribeye he had ever eaten. Genesis was our server and she took really good care of us! Cocktails and dessert were top notch. Prices are very reasonable for an upscale experience.
