great ambience, mediocre food – I've been to Le Zinc both for lunch and dinner. I wanted so much to love the place, as I love the atmosphere. Reminds me of little cafes in Paris. Plus, they have a prix fixe dinner menu (soup, salad, entree, dessert) for $29.95. While the service was fine (a little slow but friendly), the food at our 4-person table was decidedly mediocre. A bit pricey but delicious – My boyfriend and I were a bit apprehensive about going to Le Zinc after the negative editorial review but since we had gift certs, there was really nothing to lose. I must say the meal was delicious. We shared a scallop salad that was incredible, a halibut with a bulgar rice that had this indescribable sauce and a lamb that melted in your mouth.
