Everyone there is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Professionalism was top notch. Only issue is that they are always extremely busy and if your appointment is in the afternoon then plan on a long wait but they never rush you through and once your time comes they treat you as if you’re the only person there. My son had started seeing Dr. Tychsen from 1995 - 2013 and I feel fortunate that he went into the field he did. Now I just hope he will be seeing my grandson
He did surgery on my 2 yr old about 2 years ago. At children’s hospital. On the day of the surgery he did not explain the procedure just handed me a form to sign. On the form it said procedure on both eyes. I told him that’s wrong and he has the issue with just one eye. He did not apologize. He seemed rude and we felt uncomfortable. You always think in the back of your head if it’s a race thing. We are Hispanic.
I have a rare syndrome and almost every previous doctor I went to flat out refused to operate on my eye. After an unsuccessful surgery in my childhood, I had very little hope. My optometrist had recommended Dr. Tychsen upon my insistence. He explained everything throughly and "matter of fact". It took me some to digest what he said vs what my expectations were but I'm glad I went ahead with the surgery. His staff went above and beyond to accomodate me. I could not be more happier with my results.
