Completely ignored my mother who needed help. She was sent from immediate care because they knew she needed help and all the er did was lie to her. They put her in a bed without admitting her and told her she would be getting tested when in reality they labeled her a drug addict and kept her there for over 8 hours until she “sobered up” and then kicked her out at 10pm without a ride home.

What the hell!!! I dont care if this freeking hospital is busy but you dont discharge a patient without walking them to the main entrance. My 6 year old has ROTAVIRUS, he had been throwing up and had diarrhea for 4 days. After discharge, he tried walking but felt dizzy, so i asked for a wheelchair( just wheelchair and I will pushed him). 30 minutes later we were still waiting. RecommendedI somehow herniated a disk in my lower back ( putting away the vacuum of all things). I was so impressed with Pequot ER. Tolerable wait time. Nurses were so nice. Dr John Kawa was amazing. No nonsense, explained everything without confusing me with medical jargon, checked in on me regularly, after xrays came back he had a discharge plan with referral to specialist. Super nice and very gentle when doing exam. I hope I never need an ER again, but if I do, I want to come here. Thanks for helping me.
Horrible, poor case management, poor customer service, poor patient outcomes!
I was in the er yesterday 16 weeks pregnant with the stomach flu really bad and they made me wait 6 hours in the waiting room and were doing people's vitals in the waiting room in front of other patients, which I believe is a HIPAA violation. when I finally got called back for treatment they wanted to give me a nausea medication that was not pregnancy safe, I had to ask for something else. That's all they wanted to do, I was definitely dehydrated after and needed IV hydration (I called my OB before I went and that's what she... read more
