The ER department is just horrible I use trust coming here but i rather drive 45 mins to Yale then this place
My experience in L&D was fantastic!! I would recommend this hospital to anyone having a baby!
After total hip replacement my mother was taken to the er for bleeding issues. In the 5 hours we were there no one inquired about her pain level. I had to leave her room and find a nurse and it took over an hour after the doctor promised to help with the pain before they actually brought her medication. Then Dr. Nicolosi told me they were understaffed and doing their best. She wasn't given a call button so I had to leave and find a nurse when she needed assistance using the toilet. The emergency room is poorly managed and their triage is a joke. Talking to friends and family and others in the community this is a very widespread opinion. That indicates change is needed. Also their patient advocate rarely returns calls. It is not patient centered health as a hospital should be. On the other hand the maternity ward and NICU are outstanding!!!!!

Waited in the ER for 10 hours, as we listened to the nurses bitch about each other behind the desk, and the "doctor" ( Short blonde hair, early-mid 50s, thin) who was supposed to be seeing us, having non-work related unprofessional conversations for 45 mins at a time give or take, giving hugs and kisses to other nurses, and the 2 times she spoke to us during the entire duration of our stay was completely uncaring, absolutely nothing was done and we were sent home with a couple days worth of useless pills.
