I went in for my hip. He was very pleasant & explained very what I was seeing on Xray & my options which was good.
Had both arthritic knees injected with hydrocortisone ( steroid). Absolutely no pain during procedure. Both knees markedly improved in less than 24 hours. Much easier getting upstairs at home.
He was very prompt and listened to me very well. Explained everything to and I felt in great hands leaving the building.
I have been seeing Dr Schaper for 25 plus years. He is kind, considerate and caring. Not to mention an outstanding surgeon.

Dr. Schaper came highly recommended, and I was not disappointed. He performed my total hip replacement surgery in late January, and everything has gone perfectly. My 1-month follow up visit was last week. The wait time was extremely minimal (just like previous visits). Dr. Schaper is a very skilled surgeon and is easy to talk with. He has a kind manner and answered all my questions without rushing me at all. The staff at the Dixie Hwy office are also very helpful, efficient, and kind.
We were visiting from out of town and my husband's knee issue worsened. As they offer same day appointments, we called and got an early afternoon appointment. Upon arrival we had a diagnosis and treatment in under an hour! Everyone was friendly. They do health care right!
Dr Schaper is the best orthopedic doctor in Kentucky, in my opinion. He has the best bedside manner, he makes sure his patients are heard. Dr Schaper is a good soul, he is great at his job, he cares about the well-being of his patients. Dr Schaper you will truly be missed.
A special thank you to Dr Schaper and the entire office staff. Everyone was more than helpful, answered all my questions. And the office visit ran extremely smoothly with wonderful proficiency.
