I highly recommend Laurie Buchwald!! Very conscious of her patients needs, always concerned about her patients. Any concerns I may have after my visit she immediately returns my calls.
As much I dread a yearly physical, Laurie could not make the process more comfortable. She takes the time to listen and answer questions carefully. She is the most thorough health care provider i have ever seen.

Laurie was very compassionate and I could tell that she really cared about my situation. My mother referred me to her, and I will refer her to my friends as well, as she was very friendly and caring.
Laurie is amazing. She is thorough, kind, compassionate, and invested in her patients. She takes time to explain anything needed and it's obvious she truly cares about her patients too. She helped diagnose a condition that no other gynecologist took the time to investigate.
Laurie is attentive to all aspects of your health. What’s going on in your life and what’s going on with your family. Always a good visit.
Laurie takes her patients seriously. She does not rush through her appointments, but spends the time to learn their medical histories/issues. She is up-to-date on medical research. Further, she is very accepting of lesbians. In fact, she didn't subject me to a pointless pregnancy test as all my previous providers have done.

I would definitely recommend Laurie. I appreciate her professionalism but most of all her genuine concern for me as a person, not just a patient!
Dr. Buchwald is excellent! I've been seeing her for about 15 years. I've found that she's not only knowledgeable about gynecological issues but other issues involving women's health. She cares deeply for her patients, takes time to answer questions, explain things, and makes you feel comfortable. I have the utmost confidence in her - so much that I when I moved from the area several years ago, I now drive about 45 minutes to Blacksburg to see her for my annual appointment. She's one of a kind!
