I really like this doctor and his office. Very professional. Very welcoming.
I saw Dr. Kaye for a consultation after having problems with Dr. Snyder (in same office) post-cataract surgery. Dr. Kaye assured me that a YAG capsulotomy would correct the problems I was having. As it is a procedure that makes other changes to the IOL very high risk I agreed only because he said it would correct everything. It did not. When I saw him post-op (delayed due to the pandemic), he suggested I go to Walgreens and find readers that work. I knew the problem was not the Rx of the IOL. I am sure he is a competent surgeon, but I will never know as I am so angry and frustrated with his staff that I am seeking out a new surgeon. They promise to call you within five days to schedule your surgery and when you call after a week and leave a message in their general mailbox as they do not answer their phones, and they still do not call back, and then you leave a second message four days after the first one with the same non-result, I am beyond angry!
I just had cataract surgery on both eyes done by Dr. Kaye. I would highly recommend him. He is very professional and has a nice manner about him. He makes a patient feel at ease from the time you come in for your first appointment until he has completed your surgery and follow-up.
BEWARE cataract surgery patients! I had both eyes done in January 2018. I have had astigmatism for over 57 yrs. Dr Kaye recommended Toric lenses. He indicated that the outcome would be amazing, and the goal was no glasses. He charged $1500 each. Medicare doesn’t pay.He recommended monovision. Rt Eye became worse than with cataracts and they don’t work together.$3400 later, I’m wearing glasses! I was upsold! “I’m sorry” isn’t enough! They wouldn’t even give me an Rx for the glasses!
I highly recommend Dr. Kaye. He performed cataract surgery on my right eye on Nov 2, 12016. The next day my vision was absolutely perfect. I had not seen so well since I was a teenager (now 75). He took the time to explain my options available for the iol. I chose the monovision option. Dr. Kaye was recommended to my by my retina specialist, Dr. Leonard Joffe. I will let Dr. Joffe know that he can continue making this recommendation. i found that his staff was supportive and knowledgeable.
Dr. Kaye complete catract surgery for me Januray 26 and February 1. I had a great outcome. No glases at all. Mono vision. Dr. Kaye very compassionate and kind. Top notch professional
