I had the pleasure of having Laura Hopper as my midwife for the pregnancy and natural home water birth of my second child in 2016. She was so thorough, helpful, and caring. I was fully informed of everything and had a choice in all of my care. She is very professional and won't hesitate to transfer care if it is necessary to keep mom and baby healthy and well, which is very reassuring because in the end we just want a healthy mom and baby. I absolutely loved Laura and her team! She was recommended to me from my friend, who is a NICU nurse for over 12years. I think the thing that sold me the most with choosing to do a home birth with Alternative Birth Services was their Postpartum care. The most common complaint I ever heard from my friends who gave birth at the Hospital was the aftercare.
