Prompt, Professional Care My 6-year-old beagle lacerated her ear and required emergency care. Intending to go the the Latham Emergency Clinic, we noticed on the way that the Latham Animal Hospital was open (evidently they are open 24 hours, as they cover for other area vets). The staff and veterinarians were wonderful. She was immediately attended to, requiring general anesthesia and nine stitches. mrs and mrs wagoner brought my dog in with an elizabeth collar for treatmet and they called me an hr later saying my bit them .how can a dog bite with the collar on unless your sticking your finger in his face .the poor thing was in such pain .and they sent him home .he later had to be brought to the emergency hosp to be put down ,because of his illness .that they wouldnt take care of .i would never bring a pet there again.my dog should never been sent home.go to latham emergency hospital they are wonderful.
compassionate hospital and staff My heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Latham Animal Hospital. Last weekend was the worst day of my life and the staff at the hospital were so caring and did everything in there power to make this decision a gentle and caring one. I did not have the opportunity to personally thank you but I am now. And for the card that I received today you truly went above what I could have hoped for. Thank you and keep doing what you do.
Latham Animal Hospital - Thank you! 1/30/10: Kelly got sick yesterday morning throwing up when we realized she had eaten the orange plastic mesh bag our oranges came in. We thought she got everything up but she continued to vomit through this evening and we knew we needed to bring her to the Latham Animal Hospital (NOT the Emergency Clinic). Latham Animal Hospital is HORRIBLE!!!!! Terrible! The staff was unprofessional, Seemed to only care about making a dollar not concerned with my dog's well-being at all. She was being borded there for 3 days, told me when I picked her up they were charging me for a physical, which I did not authorize and then told me that if I didnt pay, they were seizing ownership. I would not reccomend this vet to anyone!!!
Latham Animal Hospital is NOT Animal Emergency Clinic! FYI: There are TWO animal hospitals within a 1/2 mile radius from each other. The ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC is 222 Troy Schenectady Rd and is NOT Latham Animal Hospital (which is a full-service veterinary facility--they even offer boarding services). When reading these reviews, please realize that some of these people may be talking about the EMERGENCY CLINIC, not Latham Animal Hospital. Latham Animal Hospital is Incompetant and pricey at best We brought our indoor/outdoor rabbit in late one night after finding he had a small injury that while he was outside for a few hours, had drawn flies. Two days later, to my horror, we found he had gotten maggots in the injury. We rushed him to the hospital (an hour away) to be told that he would be thoroughly clipped and all the maggots removed. My Dog was almost dead My Rottie had lyme disease and I didn't know about it. We went on vacation and boarded her at our usual kennel. When we got home a week later she was practically dead. Our normal animal hospital didn't have room for an emergency appointment! Unbelievable! Rushed her to Latham Animal Hospital and they were absolutely wonderful.
