Exceptional Care Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping our girl Honey to recover from parvo. Not sure what we would have done without her. I know Honey thanks you too!

Prompt, Professional Care My 6-year-old beagle lacerated her ear and required emergency care. Intending to go the the Latham Emergency Clinic, we noticed on the way that the Latham Animal Hospital was open (evidently they are open 24 hours, as they cover for other area vets). The staff and veterinarians were wonderful. She was immediately attended to, requiring general anesthesia and nine stitches. The price was fair, given that this was emergent and I would easily trust this facility if anything else were to happen with our... read more

compassionate hospital and staff My heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Latham Animal Hospital. Last weekend was the worst day of my life and the staff at the hospital were so caring and did everything in there power to make this decision a gentle and caring one. I did not have the opportunity to personally thank you but I am now. And for the card that I received today you truly went above what I could have hoped for. Thank you and keep doing what you do.

My dogs eye was hanging out The staff took my Mischief and cleaned her eye socket and stitched it up and I have had her home for two years now with no complications from surgery. Yes it was expensive approx 2000.00 but my dog is worth it and it was an emergency surgery after my normal veteranarians hours. It probably would have been a few hundred cheaper at my vet but she got hurt during late afternoon play. She is a Pomeranian Pekingese and does not even know what is wrong now or that she only has one eye. I have seen other... read more

Latham Animal Hospital is NOT Animal Emergency Clinic! FYI: There are TWO animal hospitals within a 1/2 mile radius from each other. The ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC is 222 Troy Schenectady Rd and is NOT Latham Animal Hospital (which is a full-service veterinary facility--they even offer boarding services). When reading these reviews, please realize that some of these people may be talking about the EMERGENCY CLINIC, not Latham Animal Hospital. If you see a review where the pet looks like it was in an emergency situation, chances... read more

Bad Experiance My pet was not helped. she died 2 days after they charged a rediculous fee. Over $500.00. This Vet Hospital wants to know what's in your wallet! They take Ex-rays, Blood test, In my case their xrays, examination, and their Diagnosis was 200 percent WRONG. Be sure to put a flea repellent on your animal because if you don,t you may be treating a flea infestation. Look at their exam room. Look at the table before you put your pet on it. You'll see animal hairs and particles from other pets. THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEI... read more

Money hungry My review could take hours to write it up but I will say this money hungry folks. My dog got hit by a car, and thankfully no breaking bones just road rash and chunks of skin off her leg, when we left there she told us that we wouldn't need a couple things done because Of her vitals and how in the X-rays show no damage, well 2 hrs after arriving home I get. A call giving 2 options on the healing process which confused my parents an my fianc. She said because of the tissue damage it might heal properly with stitch... read more

susan I have to say that I have been to Latham Animal Hospital twice once with my dog,and today with my cat..Living in rotterdam I have a regular vet but both times I had what I felt were small emergencies that required me to bring them in on a weekend night...Both times they saw me right away, were very friendly and caring, and yes it was expensive BUT they let me know right away it would be more.Just having my animals cared for in an emergency was worth it,piece of mind.....I would expect any kind of doctor, vet etc that was ... read more
