Latham Animal Hospital is HORRIBLE!!!!! Terrible! The staff was unprofessional, Seemed to only care about making a dollar not concerned with my dog's well-being at all. She was being borded there for 3 days, told me when I picked her up they were charging me for a physical, which I did not authorize and then told me that if I didnt pay, they were seizing ownership. I would not reccomend this vet to anyone!!!

My Dog was almost dead My Rottie had lyme disease and I didn't know about it. We went on vacation and boarded her at our usual kennel. When we got home a week later she was practically dead. Our normal animal hospital didn't have room for an emergency appointment! Unbelievable! Rushed her to Latham Animal Hospital and they were absolutely wonderful. She was comatose when we brought in, they did bloodwork right way and found lyme disease. She was pumped full of antibiotics and fluids, as she was also dehydrated. They did ever... read more

Money hungry My review could take hours to write it up but I will say this money hungry folks. My dog got hit by a car, and thankfully no breaking bones just road rash and chunks of skin off her leg, when we left there she told us that we wouldn't need a couple things done because Of her vitals and how in the X-rays show no damage, well 2 hrs after arriving home I get. A call giving 2 options on the healing process which confused my parents an my fiancé. She said because of the tissue damage it might heal properly with stit... read more

susan I have to say that I have been to Latham Animal Hospital twice once with my dog,and today with my cat..Living in rotterdam I have a regular vet but both times I had what I felt were small emergencies that required me to bring them in on a weekend night...Both times they saw me right away, were very friendly and caring, and yes it was expensive BUT they let me know right away it would be more.Just having my animals cared for in an emergency was worth it,piece of mind.....I would expect any kind of doctor, vet etc that was ... read more

Latham Animal Hospital - Thank you! 1/30/10: Kelly got sick yesterday morning throwing up when we realized she had eaten the orange plastic mesh bag our oranges came in. We thought she got everything up but she continued to vomit through this evening and we knew we needed to bring her to the Latham Animal Hospital (NOT the Emergency Clinic). We didn't have an appt and we were so surprised that they were still open at 6:30pm but they brought us in right away, did an x-ray and found that she still had some material stuck in he... read more

Impressive, Compassionate, and Caring My 7 year old Westie came down with severe abdominal complications without warning. We rushed to her the Latham Vet Hospital. The doctor and staff spent hours working on her trying to get her better. Finally, it was determined that our little girl had an ulcinoma. It was too far advanced to cure. Her glucose level could not be maintained at a healthy level because of the tumor. The doctor was wonderful and we could not have asked for better care. My husband and I came in the following mo... read more

Latham Animal Hospital is Incompetant and pricey at best We brought our indoor/outdoor rabbit in late one night after finding he had a small injury that while he was outside for a few hours, had drawn flies. Two days later, to my horror, we found he had gotten maggots in the injury. We rushed him to the hospital (an hour away) to be told that he would be thoroughly clipped and all the maggots removed. I picked him up again at 7:30am and brought him to my regular vet. I found out that Latham didn't sedate him to clip him prop... read more
