This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver. When we lived in Colorado we started going to the downtown location in the1980s. Now we live in the Mid-west and return to the North location on our way to Boulder every time. Can't wait to go tomorrow again!

the food here is great. the tacos are very good and the beans are delicious. I would go back. I did not like the flan and sent it back. but the rest was good.

A terrific family operation that started with a little downtown eatery over two decades ago. – In Short Start with guacamole, a creamy delight that isn't overwhelmed by garlic or onion but balances its elements perfectly. Move on to carnitas estilo michoacan--melt-in-your-mouth chunks of spicy, simmered pork. Or try the enchildas, simple pleasures luxuriating in a pool of mellow green chili. Even side dishes are above-average. Refried beans are just like Mama's, and Spanish rice is the best in town--graced with little chunks of chopped tomato, potato and onion.
