Playing on emotions for bigger vet bill I would not take my dog here ever again. Not only do you pay a fortune but they try and get every last dime out of you even if treatment isn't really necessary. Now being a more seasoned dog owner I would rather drive an hour to another place where I know they care about the animals and not about how big the bill will be.

Focused more on money than your pet. I was just there on 8/7/10 with my grandpa and his dog who is 9yrs old. The only thing they did in the room was take her temp. and they they took her to another room to examine her, when they brought her back I asked why the need to take her to another room and they told me they found that animals behave better when their owners are not in the same room. When the vet finally came in to talk to us she proceeded to tell us that they recommend that we take my grandfathers dog to a K-9 cariol... read more

Obvious in the numbers! Addendum to "A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE" post dated late May 2010... Was referred to LVMC for a diagnosis, as my vet's x-rays were cloudy and unclear. LVMC misdiagnosed her, and put my dog & I through hell in the process.

I AM NOT "GUILTY" 7-31-10 noticed our 9 year old American Eskimo was not herself. 8-01-10 Our dog was worse, so we used our zip code to find a 24 hr vet. She was swollen and unresponsive and had an accident during the night. My mom and I found this clinic online, why it did not pull up Howell or any other er care I don't know. We drove the 30 miles to get our dog looked at. We were told it was 95.00 for the vet to examine her, we're not rich, but our dog was in pain. The assistant took her temp-it was 105', our dog was very ... read more

Spare yourself from this place I would never go back to this clinic except for a very simple procedure like a nail trim. The few times I went there, thinking it would be less expensive and more personal than MSU, I found out differently. The wait was horrible even though there was only one other person there. I could hear a baby crying in back and someone said they keep their baby there. The constant screaming and crying by the baby was probably very stressful to the animals, and not an appropriate place for a baby around ge... read more

Bring Your Checkbook! I had to take my puppy here because he was having an hypoglycemic episode and I didn't know what else to do. They looked him over, took him in the back for some x-rays, blood work, etc., and told me he needed to stay overnight. Then the tech came in and told me it was going to be $1,000. If he needed to stay an extra day it would be $1,600! I would have driven the extra 5 miles to the university clinic if I was sure he would have made it!

Before you go to this clinic...... The day before July 4th our 12-year-old dog became ill with vomiting and diarrhea. I was able to get him into his regular vet just before closing on the 3rd and she treated him for what she believed was a virus The dog's condition continued to deteriorate and I took him to Lansing Veterinary Urgent Care late Saturday, the 5th. After the vet tech did the preliminary exam and paperwork the doctor came into the room. He barely looked at the dog before stating that a number of tests (mainly blo... read more

Not recommended Main doctor is very unprofessional and uncaring. I took my cat in for a regular treatment (I work odd hours and can only get medical care "after hours") and my cat was so traumatized from being roughed around, he peed on the doctor who then stomped out of the room and slammed the door. I now drive 20 miles each way to go to the next closest after hours clinic so that my cat will get good quality, caring attention and care. On another note, his assistant was very nice and caring. I can't understand how she can... read more

Not for animals I would never ever take another animal to this place. These people were unkind and not even human in the way they took care of our dog. Which he died at their hands. People beware, things are not as they appear.
