Wonderful staff greets you when when are admitted and when you leave good movies to watch while staying there you can get some sleep and quiet and rest . peacefull atmosphere rooms are very cool not hot.a very good place to be at when you are trying to get well.
Landmark Hospital of Athens is an excellent LTAC Hospital. The staff is friendly and truly care for the patients.
In April 2025, my mother was transferred from Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville to Landmark Hospitals (a long-term acute care facility). It was the worst decision we could have made. Her health declined rapidly while under their care. This facility is dangerously understaffed. While a few nurses were kind and attentive, far too many were neglectful and unprofessional. I can't do anything about this other than leave a review to warn others. My mother was here after a severe stroke that left her left side paralyzed and with aphasia, incontinence, and confusion. Let's start with the positives: Most of the nurses are incredible and are doing the best they can. There were a select few nurses that helped my my mother bathe and brushed her hair ad put it up in a ponytail to prevent further matting that occurred when she was in the ICU. If there was an option to give negative stars I would. My mother was there a few months ago and the care we were promised versus the care she received were completely different. She was there for dialysis and was also supposed have PT and OT three times a week. They attempted to get her up the day after she arrived there and never tried again.
