From humble beginnings in a small former gas station, Lancaster's BBQ was born in Race City, USA (otherwise known as Mooresville, NC). The year was 1986 and our slow-smoked, real eastern NC BBQ and race memorabilia quickly became legendary. This place was packed at Lunch, but service was fast. The BBQ was excellent, as were the homade chips and BBQ beans. Waitress was very courteous.

We usually eat, great service until today. We called for to-go order and without any warning, we were told, “we’re actually closing early today”. Reason? Company christmas celebration. No issue at all with them celebrating the holiday with their employees, but zero warning, no announcements, just “we’re closing early so we can all go”. Why have a facebook page or website if you won’t use it for loyal paying customers to know when you’re open or closing early? Again, we were huge fans of this place, but not anymore.
