From humble beginnings in a small former gas station, Lancaster's BBQ was born in Race City, USA (otherwise known as Mooresville, NC). I had the fried chicken plate and it was delicious! Loved the atmosphere and had plenty to eat, with leftovers for later!
This used to be the go to place. Prices are WAY too high for the quality of food! What a shame. They need to put the prices back so it matches the quality. $35 for 3 people (carry out) is crazy!! See ya Lancasters!! Maybe if y'all can get it back together we will come back.
The pulled pork was good, but the mashed potatoes had been sitting around all day. The corn on the cob was terrible, so soggy., like eating canned corn. The hush puppies were the best part of the meal.
We just ate here for the first time tonight thanks to a recommendation from a friend and we were very pleased! We actually moved to Charlotte from Goldsboro (home of McCalls BBQ & Wilbers...2 of the top nc BBQ places), needless to say we were very excited to see "eastern nc style" but skeptical if it would be as good! Long story short...it was great!!! We will definitely be back! �
It was delicious! Our first time but I definitely see us going back there!!! The pork platter was excellent!!
