Lamiglas exceeded my expectations. I was given a gift of a Lamiglas rod and while fishing on the Columbia River this year (2014) a friend was using my new rod and reel. While fighting a Chinook the rod broke about ten inches above the reel seat. It was a very large Chinook and the rod broke just as he got it to the side of the boat. Just got off the phone with Lamiglas warranty department, explained to them that I needed my rod back in time for my fishing trip on Saturday. Not only did they expedite my shipping to get it back to me by Saturday, but my rod was on backorder so they went out and got me one from the showroom! That is the difference between working with some big corporation that doesn't care about the customer and working with a company like Lamiglas. They sell poor quality stuff, the customer no service, and I'm a local. Wish I could post some pictures of my brand new rod with the tags on it with a broken eyelet. Not the company it used to be!
Durable, reliable, species specific, excellent customer service and I can drive down the road and look them in the eye! American made, Lifetime guarantee....What more could an old fisherman ask for?
I've only fished with one kind of rods and it will always be lamiglas nothing will top out lamiglas!
