rates may never changes but are extremely to high most light companies give options of a fixated rate no matter what you use in electricity to where your price is the same every month regardless but for some reason lamar doesn't offer than and in the winter and summertime your bill will range from 200 to 300 if you don't keep your ac on 75 or higher well I'm sorry this is texas temps reach 100 plus my ac will never be on 75 or higher y'all are crazy and offer nothing to help your customers!
This company is abusing its monopoly position thru their fees. I have compliments for the crews, but their policies are capricious costly to the customer, and they only get away with it because they are granted monopoly status. This needs to be addressed.

I just want to say thank you to Lamar Electric for their quick response to a blown transformer last night at 2am. They responded quickly and replaced the transformer in less than 2 hours! Great job!

every time it rains our electricity goes out and our bill is always high. we have no choice of electric companies. it's a monopoly.
Their rates are reasonable. I have no complaints except during the winter. When reporting an outage, the people I have always talked to are friendly and obliging. Better than TXU that I had in Dallas.
Wish I had another option!
