After 12 years of having our family member, Maria, we had to finally make the decision to put her to sleep. After talking amongst our family and lots of sleepless nights and tears, we finally decided it was best to end her pain and suffering. When we got her there after contemplating to let her pass at home, the staff at Lake Wales Veterinary Hospital was very kind and considerate of the emotional state we were in. I am from out of town and my kitten had blood in his urine, we made an appointment and Dr Chinault was our vet. I cannot say enough good things about her, she took her time with us, answered all my questions was very knowledgeable it just an awesome experience. She even called me 2 days later to see how Bean was doing and if he needed anything to call. The hospital is very clean and all the staff were very nice. Truly a pleasant experience.
Very friendly and efficient, but a bit pricy. I've been visiting them so often then have become friends though and that is worth a lot.
I don't write these often but I feel compelled to take the time to say something about Dr. Mathews and his staff. 25 years I have had dogs, well they have had me...I have dealt with a dozen or so Vets but Dr Mathews by far has been the absolute most compassionate, caring and knowledgeable Vet I have known. I can tell you this beyond a shadow of a doubt this man does truly care about these animals he is treating, its Not all about the paycheck!! I would and will recommend him to anyone!! Thank you so much for all you do!!
