We didn't give up, and our taxes were lowered almost $3000 this year! I love the analogy of going to the doctor every year for a physical. Sometimes they find something; sometimes they don't. You won't know until you get it checked out if something is wrong. We file every year with LCA. I have contested my taxes before without success, but figured that I would give it one more try, and low and behold this year Lake County Appeal (LCA) was successful in my case. While the amount of the reduction wasn't what I had hoped, I understand that LCA did the best they could within the bounds of the Lake County Assessor and Vernon Hills tax base. I would use LCA again, because the process was painless.
This is the first time I've used LCA. The process was very efficient and resulted in a reduction in my assessment. However, for some reason the first communication I received stated that my original assessment was appropriate and that no appeal would be submitted. Then I received notice that of a successful appeal. I appreciate that LCA continued to work on my assessment and eventually got a reduction.

I saw their adv in roadside and decided to giving them a call. After follow up the instruction and submit the application and payment online. I NEVER heard them again, I called them once for status and being told if the case fail they will submit to state as for every case. But no feedback, no follow-up, nothing, Just months later received the invite for give their service review.
