This is by far one of the worst hospitals . My grandmother came into their ER two days in a row after falling . Her blood pressure almost in the 200s and trauma to the head and the rest of her body. Both days they took hours to access her . Day 1 she had a broken nose which they didn’t care to access or even look at other than through the CT. This used to be one of the best places you could go for an emergency, but they have gone down hill drastically. We make the trip all the way from DeRidder, however I think we would be better off just going to Beauregard. My mom has come in with chest pain and heart issues twice in the last couple of weeks and there is zero sense of urgency with them. It's just hours and hours of waiting. The hospital staff are wonderful people. Some issues with interdepartmental communication. Doesn’t seem like they talk to one another and we are spinning our wheels. Surgeon blew in and out like he was late for a tee time and showed by his conversation with us that he didn’t know the whole story behind our situation. Valet parking policy needs to be changed. I used valet because walking is difficult for me, but I left my phone in the car, so they handed me my keys and sent me across the street. They said it was their policy.... read more
