RecommendedDr. Stark and the staff at Lake Area Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing. They are extremely compassionate and always willing to go the extra mile for your pet. Would definitely recommend them for your veterinary needs.
I don't recommend even bringing a dead animal to them. AWFUL!
That is the only place I trust my dogs at the dr stark's is the only one I deal with
So let me start this off by saying that we have two dogs. One is an approximately 35-40lbs mix breed that is incredibly lovable with everyone she meets... These girls were spayed 7 days ago today (06/18/2020). They’ve healed nicely, no complications what so ever. This was our first time going there, their office is very clean and their staff is super friendly & helpful! Thank You Dr Adam & Staff, Molly & Maggie Guillory ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our dog Lily is being treated by Lake Area for canine lymphoma. She is getting weekly chemo treatments. We live outside of Lake Charles (although I work in Lake Charles) and we were seeing our local vet when Lily was diagnosed with possible lymphoma. We were unable to get into LSU during the pandemic. Even getting in we were very stressed out about weekly trips to Baton Rouge and projected up front costs. Dr. Joe Stark has been our bet since he was doing his intern. He has always taken great care of my fur babies. Staff is friendly and helpful, as well.
I have been with them for almost a year. I rescued my dog at 3 months and brought her to them. They took great care of her and she beat parvo with their help. The best staff works there.
