Good at explaining what’s to be done in surgery! Likeable personality!
Dr LaFemina was a pro the whole way through. She explained, she asked more than once if I had questions, and she was prompt in getting on the phone within an hour of pathology results. She is approachable, patient, energetic, and clearly knows her craft and takes pride in her work. The day of the surgery, it was as if I was her only case in the world…she approached me with such positivity and good energy that I knew I was in good hands.
I can't but agree wholeheartedly with all of the reviews above. If you happen to find yourself in the care of Dr. Lafemina, consider yourself extremely lucky. She is TOP NOTCH.
Dr. Lafemina is the type of surgeon everyone wishes they had. She will explain everything to you in terms that you will understand. She has a great personality andcshe truly CARES about her patients. She cares about you before your surgery, during your surgery and after. Even a week after, it is still just as easy to get HER (not a nurse, the actual doctor) on the phone and talk to her about any concerns that you are having. Dr. Lafemina is extremely thorough, intelligent, personable and answers any questions you have with complete confidence. She saved my mother this year from ampullary cancer by operating on her by the Whipple procedure and for that I am grateful and appreciate her expertise and personal communication. Dr Lafemina is exreamly thorough. She explains everything is terms we could understand and made sure we comprehended what she was saying. She saved my mom from pancreatic cancer, and did what I believe a lot of doctors wouldn't have. She is an all around good doctor, talented, skilled, and personable
