Worst Tea Parlor In Los Angeles! – AWFUL, SIMPLY AWFUL. There was NO airconditioning. The service was ridiculously slow. There was only one server, and she was RUDE..and SLOW. Her mother (who apparently is also the cheff and the owner) was just as rude. If you plan on coming here, make sure you have had plenty of water before hand because they are tight on their water supply and will give you attitude if you ask them to refill your glass. A Historical Gen – Lady Effie's takes you back in time. It is a beautiful trip down memory lane. Situated on Adams Blvd. near USC, it is in a historical home built in the early 1900's. Vonnie, the owner, is a delight and will tell you many stories if you desire. You must dress sharp! There are no denim requirements and hats are preferred. Also, don't plan on coming if you're in a rush. This is all about good conversation, ambiance and paying homage to a slower time. A real treat. Great for large parties too!
