Last night my mother was at LRGH ER for 9 hrs. Today I got a call that they'd done a CT scan on the wrong hip and wanted her to come back today to have it rescanned. Now, she's 84 years old, a resident of St Francis Home and fell while she was dancing. Everything presented as a broken hip. The doctor who released her was baffled as to why she was in so much pain, yet CT was clear (the doctor was very good) So she was sent back to St Francis with instructions to start weight bearing. I brought my son in with a really high fever, chest pain and headache. The staff was great with him and I. They did not make me feel like a fool for taking him there instead of his pcp. Kudos nurse Joe and Dr. Cooper � plus Max got a few popsicles out of it!!
Too bad I can't give it no stars. Along with the horrible attitude of some of the staff, I also was forced to endure a ethnic slur from Don the nurse. Care sucked, they didn't want to discharge me even though my vitals were all in normal range. I can only assume they try to keep private payers as long as possible to milk as much money out of them. Absolutely horrible! Went Sunday morning to DR with meningitis symptoms they treated me with migraine "cocktail" sent me home and said follow up with primary care, long story short I was admitted to Concord Hospital Tuesday with viral meningitis! I certainly will be calling lakes and making a complaint, could've been my life, if I hadn't listened to my body and gone to Concord who knows where is be now, as it was it was four days after my symptoms before I got treatment with antiviral and antibiotic meds!
