About Lackey Free Clinic: In 1995, Dr. Jim Shaw and his wife, Cooka, decided to answer a persistent call from God to provide free health care for the uninsured. They partnered with a local church, whose Sunday school classroom became a free clinic one night a week. There, a handful of volunteers began treating the medically disadvantaged in the Lackey community. Word of the clinic spread slowly at first. An amazing place that has the best physicians and dentists in the area. They truly care about every patient and take the time to make sure the patient’s needs are met.
As a volunteer here, I have seen first hand the incredible impact Lackey Clinic has upon its patients. Their devotion to serving individuals with the utmost level of care is unmatched. I am proud to be a part of such an amazing mission.
They should help disabled people with a terminal illness instead of corrupt healthy individuals scamming benefits. There needs to be oversight. in Virginia no one investigates real corruption by the government.
