This is a charming hidden gem in Lake Elsinore. The coffee is good, the pastries are tasty, and the service is excellent. However, I really hope the owners fix the AC soon. Every time I go in when it's warm out, it's muggy and hot inside the shop. It makes it uncomfortable to spend any amount of time inside.
We took a peek inside and noticed there was a music group performing. We opened the door and the locals welcomed us very warmly. The group was really great and the atmosphere was even better. Everyone was smiling, and enjoying the evenings entertainment. I want to add that La Taza is very clean and the bathroom is also. The decor is lovely and it’s just a pleasant place to be. I really used to like La Taza. It gave small town coffee shop vibes, welcoming staff, great coffee and very importantly had great prices. But I don't know what's happened recently the last few months but the prices have increased quite a bit and the front cashier just doesn't seem to know what she's doing versus the previous one - it's almost like she doesn't understand the questions that are asked or doesn't want to be there.
