Found our first bedbug! Yippee!We arrived last night and walked in without a reservation but still got a double room. $125 +. The front desk guy seemed a little nervous and apprehensive. OK. Now the fun starts. Our room had a funny odor. We turned on the TV- no go. I called the nice man at the desk and he said we would like another room. He “upgraded” us to a double suite. Have stayed many times while needing to pick up family at the train at 2 am and then on their return trip at 5 am. When you live 100 miles away, a hotel the night before is awesome. And the hotel is only a little over 2 mikes from the station. That’s important considering the train can be late and is late often. Now I keep track at the hotel instead of sitting at the train station that has no services(not even vending machines) and is pretty isolated.

I highly recommend this hotel, clean also breakfast was good. They beyond to accommodate you while you’re there.

Great experience. Dennis your Front Desk person was incredible and very welcoming. The breakfast was great. Very nice clean comfortable hotel. The La Quinta Suites was an exceptional value. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Lastly, pet friendly with multiple pet relief area's. Walking distance to Sertoma Park and the Beautiful Japanese Zen Garden's. Great location across from the Alerus Center.
