Surprisingly wonderful. I almost hesitated when I saw it was a "2 star rated", but it was better than some four-star hotels I've stayed in! Peaceful at night, and convenient to everything. Exceptionally clean. Teemed with history. Will not hesitate to go back!
Beautiful rooms. Good location. The omelet bar for breakfast is a nice touch. No view from the room.
We arrived way before check in time and the front desk staff were very generously accommodating allowing to use the amenities while we waited for our room. They even granted us access to the room as soon as the room was cleaned. The front desk staff is super professional, helpful and kind. We booked the king deluxe. The room was large and fairly updated. The problem was the hallway getting to it. This is an 1891 home that smells every bit of it. There are several beautiful plantation windows that can be opened. My impulse was to open all of them to air the place out. We were unable to open windows in the room and had to lock the doors leading to the porch as another room had access to the same porch. Free parking was a big draw for choosing this place.
