La Palma Restaurant- is quite poor and is not recommended for the price We dined at La Palma in Coral Gables on Memorial Day 2009 (May 25, 2009). We paid almost $100 for 1 terrible meal, 1 good meal, 2 glasses of wine, a lack of atmosphere, and a lot of bad service. The Food: 1 meal was the pre-fixed âMiami Spice Menuâ where for $36 you choice an appetizer (pear salad), entrée (mahi with shrimp/calms), and desert (crème Brule) from a set menu. The starter bread was terrible, the salad was very good, the mahi was the wo... read more
Don't Waste Your Time and Money I have to say that of all the restaurants I've eaten at in my adult lifetime this has to rated as the worst!! I took my wife and three kids there for lunch and every meal was cold and the food tasted terrible! As if cooked in a microwave. Even the soup had a bad smell and taste to it!. Not to mention the horrible customer service. Don't be fooled by the interior/exterior of the restaurant as the quality of the food is very poor. PS. Valet should be complimentary if I am throwing away my money ... read more
Authentic Food, Amazing Atmosphere!! – I have been meaning to try this place for a while, and now that I finally did, I am almost mad at myelf for waiting do long! The food is amazing, went there for the lunch buffet which was so full of mouth watering items, I literally didn't know where to start. They change some of their items daily too, becuase when I went back later in the week they had a different meat at carving station. Also, it was unbelievably inexpensive - under $15 for all that food! We ate outside on the terrace... read more
Tasty food, hidden nook – I am new to the area and came to La Palma with my bf who was visiting from out of town. We wanted to have a special night. I heard La Palma was really romantic...and that is was! We were seated in the courtyard in this little nook. So private! It was all lit up and truly the best night. The food was delish! I had pasta and my boyfriend had fish...both were divine.
Delicious Italian and Yummy Desserts! – La Palma Restaurant, in Coral Gables has been in business for 17 years, but it was not until last weekend that I had the opportunity to dine there. This hidden gem is located on a historical site in the Gables dating back to 1924. But, beyond it’s history, what makes this restaurant really special is their delicious authentic Northern Italian food and incredible homemade desserts. La Palma is a great date location, especially on the weekends when they offer live piano music, or perfect... read more
A real treasure – After all of these years La Palma is still the best find in Coral Gables. Great Food, Friendly staff and exquisite ambience. What else could I ask for
