Authentic Food, Amazing Atmosphere!! – I have been meaning to try this place for a while, and now that I finally did, I am almost mad at myelf for waiting do long! The food is amazing, went there for the lunch buffet which was so full of mouth watering items, I literally didn't know where to start. They change some of their items daily too, becuase when I went back later in the week they had a different meat at carving station. Tasty food, hidden nook – I am new to the area and came to La Palma with my bf who was visiting from out of town. We wanted to have a special night. I heard La Palma was really romantic...and that is was! We were seated in the courtyard in this little nook. So private! It was all lit up and truly the best night. The food was delish! I had pasta and my boyfriend had fish...both were divine.

We dined at La Palma in Coral Gables on Memorial Day 2009 (May 25, 2009). We paid almost $100 for 1 terrible meal, 1 good meal, 2 glasses of wine, a lack of atmosphere, and a lot of bad service. The Food: 1 meal was the pre-fixed “Miami Spice Menu” where for $36 you choice an appetizer (pear salad), entrée (mahi with shrimp/calms), and desert (crème Brule) from a set menu. Awesome – Our family went to La Palma for Father's Day Brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food selection was superb and the service was excellent. That's why when our son and his fiancee told us that they were getting married, we all agreed that the best place to have the reception was at La Palma's Courtyard. ANOTHER SIDE OF THE STORY – I was sorry to hear about the experience described by PearlGirl and felt compelled to write so that anyone who reads these reviews will hear the other side of the story. I have been a frequent customer of La Palma since it opened fifteen years ago and have always enjoyed the best of service, the warm and welcoming environment, the delightful entertainment and the delicious food. As great as ever – I never write reviews or participate in chats,, but after reading the only negative comment below, (which is probably written by a competitor as it seems they managed to hate everything as if they were using a checklist and I saw the exact same word for word review for another local restaurant) I had to respond. Great spot for a business lunch in Coral Gables! – With so many great restaurants in Coral Gables, La Palma has an edge. I went with a colleague of mine and we wanted to go to some where different. It has a great ambiance and the cuisine to match. With a top notch business lunch buffet and service that is superb, it was a great dining experience! Their tiramisu was excellent!
