My mother likes to go to the bakery because she have to buy sweet bread
My first time stopping in tonight. After the lovely Rae let us sample some treats, my friend and I settled on Horchata cake for her, and Mexican Mocha cake for me, and we both had Café Taxco. This was our happy hour! We will be back! I want to try the chorizo quiche!
My family and I went by last night and had a great experience! We loved all the selections of hard to find items...love all the organic selections and we loved the look inside ,very inviting ���a great new addition to Uptown ! We wish all the success ❤❤❤❤

I came here after my cousin insisted I check it out. I had the cafe taxco and chorizo quiche and my mom ordered the cafe de olla and a croissant with cajeta. My mom was surprised to see that the cajeta tasted just like the one from Mexico and the coffee was delicious. The quiche was tasty, loved the fusion of French-style quiche with Mexican chorizo. Too expensive!!!! And totally not worth it, will definitely not come back again

I have been to La Monarca in Whittier twice already. The first time was to try a few of the bake goods from their display case. I bought a few and took it to work to share with my co-workers. The second time, I ordered the chicken mole torta for lunch. The atmosphere is good. nice and clean. The music was good, not too loud. The girl at the register was great, I wish I remembered her name, very pleasant. The pastries were nothing to get excited about, nothing better than what I can buy at my local Latino grocery store.
