Wanted to try something from this new bakery La Monarca in uptown Whittier... Saw these and thought they would be good with some coffee in the morning. Surprised that they rang up to $9.00 at the register.... They are good but way over priced!
Recomiendo el pastel de Guayaba mmmm. De lo mas rico. Te dan la prueba de los pasteles antes de comprar y eso hace una gran diferencia,asi sabes realmente que vas a ofrecer a tus invitados y a tu paladar.gracias por el buen trato y servicio.

I went to the Huntington Park store last week to order an horchata cake for my niece's birthday. I was specific as to which size I wanted. I came to pick the cake up this morning and they gave me a cake half the size of what I had ordered. I'm not a happy camper.

Had an Iced double espresso yesterday @ the Sunset location. Parking is a BIG problem! Lattes are more expensive than Starbucks, Come on now

I was just at La Monarca on Mission Street in Pasadena and purchased pan dulce, and was also going to have lunch there, but since they didn't have a very kid friendly menu I had to go next door to get a grilled cheese sandwich for my 1 year old. I came back to LA Monarca to order lunch for three of us, but they told me I couldn't eat there because I was bringing in a grilled cheese sandwich from next door.
