RecommendedLa Mexicana has the best authentic Mexican food in Houston. I can not express enough how great the service from all the staff is. I have been coming to La Mexicana for over 30 years and it continues to get better and better! This is and will continue to be my favorite restaurant in Houston!
it used to be a nice place to eat now its just ridiculous the prices for the food that they serve ,cold with no flavor ..the horchata years ago it had the best flavor ,this last time we went it taste like just sugar and water ugg very unpleasant.ohh and the service is terrible ,i wait long enough for the food and more for utensils, napkis and it wasn't a busy day ,they were just busy talking with each other.

We have been here twice. The food is exceptional.
Food was ok, flour tortillas are tough. Angus fajitas over cooked and not served via sizzling platter, they were actually tepid, frozen margaritas not so good.
