La Mascota Bakery The Best of ELA My family and I have purchased the tamales and "pan dulce," for over 30 yrs. Now that we are out of the "county" we travel 20 miles once a month to buy those delicious items!! Being hispanic and knowing what an awesome tasty tamale is, these are close to my New Mexico upbringing ones. Scrumptious! I just bought 30 tamales for two different pot luck birthday parties. Excellent! They were scarfed up in less than 5 minutes at both parties. The consensus was that the pineapple tamales were the best, but they were all delicious. This was my first time to La Mascota but it came highly recommended by friends. They did not steer me wrong. The place is clean and well organized and rather wonderful. I can't wait to go back.

Make this a weekly routine This bakery has to be L.A.'s finest for homemade chips, cakes, Mexican pastries & mosly for their famous "tamales". Literally, people come from all over So. California to buy tamales from La Moscota. They have been in the same locale for over 50 years, and now have a newer side building where you can watch tamales and the like being made. There are little tables inside and out, so that you can have your treats warmed up, RIGHT THERE, to eat right away. On the weekends, come early in the morning to ... read more
