The worst thing I ever did was sign up for a personal trainer with this company. I am a college student who is overweight and trying to get my health on track. I had some problems where I couldn't work out. They take advantage of those who are trying to be better. They don't send out renewal notices or attempt to make any contact. This is the worst business I have ever been associated with, and I will take my claim to court if necessary.
This seems to be a common practice with this LA Fitness location and typically I let it slide, but I've gone into the location in person to cancel the $34.99 fee. They've cancelled mine prior and I've asked them to cancel all the other account which my wife's account they said would be cancelled as well. I called in and they said I'd have to come in person to have it cancelled which I already did prior. It's no wonder I see so many 1 star ratings recently!
We signed up for personal training sessions at this location, and the manager told us in the contract that after 10 days you can cancel, you get a refund for the amount paid, however you can cancel before 30 days, without paying a cancellation fee. We tried to cancel the entire week before 30 days and they continually put off meeting us, and eventually made us call the head office. The head office manager said there is a 50% buyout of the remainder of the contract which is 3000$. We are university students and this is becomi... read more
I unknowingly signed a 1-year personal training contract with Esporta for $198 month on 2/20/23. I thought it was only for 1 month. The trainer didn't even tell that I sign for 12 months. He gave me the contract after I signed everything. After my first session of training with personal trainer I injured my legs. I went to my doctor and got a note that I cannot continue to do workout until I have surgery on both my legs. Trainer who made me sign so fast this contract never told me it was for 1 year and he never said that the... read more
Had to give 1 star because it wouldn't let me do zero. This gym needs some serious work. Equipment is old and always broke. Makes for a terrible work out experience. They really should charge to go here
I am APPALLED that at the *********** ******* location the Women's bathroom has NO TOILET PAPER OR PAPER TOWELS. It is filthy with **** and wet toilet paper in multiple stalls. When I asked the front desk for Manager they said they do not have one. When I asked for Custodian they said none here. When I asked for toilet paper and paper towels they said don't have that either!!! IT IS DISGUSTING That a gym operates in such unsanitary conditions!!!
Should be rated a 0. Broken and outdated equipment. Horrible management. Huge mess everyday. No one addresses any customer concerns.
This is a terrible Gym. Do not sign a contract with them, they will bill you multiple times per months and never send you a receipt. You need to check you credit card all time to make sure they did not scam you. I signed a membership for two months and ended up paying more than $370 with unknown charges. They will certainly lie to you about the whole process until you sign. Once signed they will randomly charge hoping that you never check your credit card. Be careful folks. Please consider talking to the media to build aware... read more
Wow, similar experience to the list below. Would leave 0 stars. I told them very clearly of how I wanted only one month of training to help my ankle get back online so I could confidently go on a six month adventure. They told me the PT I signed up for was easy to change so 'no problem' on just the x3 sessions I wanted to buy. They signed me up for a whole year's worth of x3 lessons per month at $165 per month. I've now paid them $99 for the initial joining fee and first month + last month and annual fee which are $49 + $49 ... read more
