A friend of mine recently bought a membership at this gym. She told me the gym allows members to offer a friend a two week free trial. My son moved here from NY and is interested in joining a gym, so I gave my friend my son's contact information. She informed me that my son just needs to stop by the gym. His name is on a list, so he should be all set. This evening, my son got all geared up and headed to this gym. He was told he needed to speak with a salesman. Fine. The salesman noticed that my son was physically fit. He ask... read more

While I like goung to the club, dealing with the corporate office is terrible. After waiting over an hour on hold, I was connected to Jefferson, who denied me the opportunity to speak to a supervisor. First and foremost, Jefferson was completely unprofessional. LA fitness overcharged me, and he made it most difficult. I honestly don't thinl Jefferson should keep his job. He does NOT put the Customer first!!! Especially when it was LA fitness who grossly overcharged me!

My wife and I joined LA Fitness (Dunedin, FL) last January. I signed up for personal trainer services (Jan-June). We enjoyed the quality of the Club and Trainer instruction up until LA Fitness closed due to the virus risk. Our LA Fitness reopened yesterday May 25. I am 72 years old and have a prosthetic aortic heart valve. It is not time for me to go back to the club environment. I do not want to risk my health until such time as there is no resurgence of the virus. When I called LA Fitness May 25, 2020I was told by Operatio... read more

This company has made no effort to help those individuals who cannot leave home to cancel their membership. Their staff claims that they must see the person face to face to cancel. We are in a time where this is completely unnecessary, especially because this company did not make itself visible face to face for months. I have tried to cancel my membership for 2 months. Finally, when the gym opened back up I was told I had to come down between 7am and 3pm to cancel. I explained that my wife is a medical professional and that ... read more

I started going to health clubs in the 1960's. I am retired Chicago lawyer who moved to Arizona in 2012. LA Fitness kept charging me monthly dues even though the clubs were closed. I tried calling and was left on hold forever. LA Fitness only respects an Attorney General complaint. When you join you will be constantly harassed to buy more programs or up-grade your membership. Sales people are dressed to look like fitness instructors, but they are worthless. Every time I go there I see young people, seniors, disabled people w... read more

They need to have zero stars as an option here but in Summery- I got a free membership do to the fact that I'm on disability. Went for the first time and decided to sign up for a year of personal training sessions, so I would know what I can and can't do for my body. During the sign up process I told them that I have a lot of health problems and asked what happens if I was unable to continue training? They said all that I needed to do was submit a doctor note stating I was unable to continue. Well, I had one session and got ... read more

HORRIBLE! Just awful. They don't respond to email or voicemail. Since Coronavirus, they have changed their cancellation policy to make it difficult to cancel. Now they say that you have to provide a handwritten letter via regular mail when the process before was by email. They want to make it hard for people to cancel and tell them to go out to get stamps. Poor leadership on financial matters. They should be ASHAMED.

No LAFitness (aka Fitness International LLC) I'm not interested in seeing you move the goalposts yet again. I'm not interested in yet another extension. Refund the April dues you preemptively charged weeks ago. Refund the partial month dues owed from your closure on March 16th. And stop requiring members to freeze their accounts by United States posts (e.g. printed letters sent via the post office). You're intentionally preventing people from halting their memberships.
